Petroceltic is delighted to have been part of the delegation which welcomed the UK Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt, to Algeria. Minister Burt subsequently met with Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmadjid Tebboune and other senior government ministers to discuss regional security and a range of bilateral issues, including trade. Lord Risby, UK’s trade envoy to Algeria and part of Minister Burt’s delegation, met with the newly installed Energy Minister Mustapha Guitouni.

The UK and Algeria have a long history of reciprocal trade and governmental cooperation. UK exports to Algeria increased by 24% in 2016.
